Organized by the Foundation and the Russian State Historical Museum in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the creation of the Russia-American Company, Unseen Treasures: Imperial Russia and the New World was a major exhibition of art and artifacts that toured the United States between 1999 and 2001.
Venues included the New Jersey State Museum in Trenton, NJ, the Missouri Historical Society in St. Louis, MO, the Mint Museum of Art in Charlotte, NC, and the Presidio Trust Exhibition Hall at the Presidio in San Francisco, CA.

Objects from a variety of museums and institutions in the Russian Federation and the United States came together to present a dramatic story of 19th-century cooperation and exploration.
