| Igor Moiseyev, one of the greatest choreographers of the 20th century, was the recipient of the Foundation’s award in October 1995. It was presented in Fort Lauderdale, Florida immediately following a program at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts by the Moiseyev Dance Company. Moiseyev and his Company were pioneers in cultural exchange between America and Russia. His 1958 American debut received critical acclaim and marked the first of ten tours of the United States. He was also the first to present American dance and dance culture to the people of Russia. |
